This policy defines what you can and cannot do on Whimsy Ink ("the Service"). It exists alongside our Terms of Service and Content Policy. Violating this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.
1. Use the Service as Intended
Whimsy Ink is a platform for creating and reading AI-generated novels. Use it for that. The following are prohibited:
- Using the Service for any purpose other than creating, editing, reading, and sharing novels
- Using the Service to build or train competing AI products or services
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the Service
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, suspensions, or credit limits
- Sharing account credentials with others
2. Don't Exploit the Platform
The following are prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:
- Credit exploitation — using bugs, system errors, or technical loopholes to obtain credits without payment. If you discover a bug that grants unearned credits, report it to support@trywhimsy.com. Do not use them.
- Double spending — attempting to use credits more than once through technical manipulation, race conditions, or API abuse.
- Generation abuse — submitting prompts designed to waste platform resources (requesting million-word novels, infinite chapter counts, recursive loops, or any input intended to trigger disproportionate compute costs).
- Automated access — using bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service, generate content, or extract data without written permission from Whimsy.
- Circumventing limits — any attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, content filters, moderation systems, or access controls through any means.
3. Credits & Billing Integrity
- Credits that are accidentally issued, obtained through system errors, or fraudulently obtained may be revoked by Whimsy at any time without refund or compensation.
- If exploitation, fraud, or abuse of the billing system is detected, Whimsy reserves the right to revoke credits, reverse transactions, suspend the account, and/or permanently ban the user.
- Whimsy reserves the right to issue a refund and terminate the account rather than provide services, at our sole discretion. If we determine that continuing to serve a user is not in the best interest of the platform or community, we may refund any remaining balance and close the account.
- Disputing valid charges with your bank (chargebacks) while continuing to use the Service is a violation of this policy and may result in immediate account termination.
4. Don't Attack the Platform
The following are prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement:
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or reconstruct our AI systems, prompts, models, or internal processes
- Probing for security vulnerabilities without written authorization
- Introducing malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Performing denial-of-service attacks or any action intended to degrade the Service for others
- Attempting to intercept data transmitted to or from the Service
5. Don't Abuse Other Users
- Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk other users
- Do not impersonate other users, Whimsy staff, or any other person
- Do not publish another user's personal information without their consent
- Do not use the platform to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Do not manipulate the platform's systems (ratings, read counts, engagement metrics) through artificial or deceptive means
6. Respect the Ecosystem
- Do not bulk-download novels from the library
- Do not systematically copy or redistribute content from the platform
- Do not use the platform's content to train AI models
- Do not interfere with other users' ability to use and enjoy the Service
7. Consequences
Violations of this policy may result in, at Whimsy's sole discretion:
- Written warning
- Temporary account suspension
- Revocation of credits without refund
- Refund of remaining balance and account termination
- Permanent ban
- Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal activity)
The severity of the response depends on the severity and intent of the violation. Whimsy reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate, including actions not listed here.
8. Reporting Abuse
If you witness abuse of the platform or its users, report it to support@trywhimsy.com. If you discover a security vulnerability or system bug, report it responsibly to security@trywhimsy.com. Do not exploit it.
